Ray Kane, the Senior Pastor of Grace Methodist Church in Gallipolis, Ohio. The new Leadership and Chairs of various Ministries in our church were accepted as a part of the conference agenda.

Information brought before our Global Church Conference on May 19, 2024. The document below was brought before members of our church for acceptance dealing with a New Leadership and also the authorization of pursing a loan of up to $300,000 for needed improvements to our church buildings. Both proposals were passed by a hand vote with the majority ruling. Elder Ray Kane officiated the conference proceedings. Larry Foster (outgoing Leadership Chair) gave a welcome. Pastor Tim Waugh explained the process of developing the New Leadership proposal and Mark Carlisle, Financial Secretary made the presentation of the Resolution Authorizing Mortgage of Real Estate.

Larry Foster was our Lay Leader for the May 26, 2024 Worship Services and he reminded us of Memories. The Israelites were told to take stones out of the river at the parting of the sea and place them as a memorial of the things God had done for them.

Our Monthly Traveling Prayer Team met at Holzer Hospital in Jackson On May 25th at noon to pray for the doctors, nurses and patients. Our numbers were small but there were two stories that were shared among the group about how prayer is important and sharing is sometimes vital to the Spiritual Health of a stranger.

The first story deals with a family who’s husband had terminal cancer. Thus, they decided to go on a last family vacation with their three boys to the beach. Unfortunately, their 19 year old son Cooper was thrown up against a structure while swimming and was paralyzed from the neck down. They were in a strange hospital and the mother wouldn’t leave his side. The father had to return home for a treatment and took the other sons home. Prayer for Copper and his family and the stress they are going through at this time while they are separated and facing the unknown. The good news is Cooper wiggled his toes a few days later.

The second story involved a coin, a trip to Lowes, a friendly worker in the store and the passing of the coin to her as a gift. She graciously put the coin in the pocket of her Lowes vest after helping us and went on her way. Later she came back to the wife of the family and told her how much she needed that coin and the Armor of God right now as the devil was really working her over lately. In a broken voice she thanked the wife for here husbands gift and how much it meant to her. Yes, God works in mysterious ways and in mysterious places!

Facilities Team members along with other members of Christ Church of Jackson and Warriors for Christ (W4C) gathered on Monday, June 3, 2024 to enhance our landscaping around the church. Many THANKS go out to A&K Stone, Lloyd’s and Dulaney Construction for their help in hauling and using their equipment to place the stone around the building.
