Discipleship 2025 Class Catalog

Classes from Beginning to Advanced Levels to help you grow your Faith and Service. Everyone in the community is encouraged to look over the classes/small groups that are being offered. Some classes are a one-and-done while others are OPEN to join for a short time or possibly long term to encourage your Spiritual Growth. For additional information, dates, times, frequency, and materials involved, you may call our church office at 1 740 286 3419 regarding any class.

INTRODUCTORY LEVEL CLASSES

CASEMAKERS – meets once a month on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. This meeting is held in a local eatery that gives you the option of Fellowship while eating if that is your preference. (Don’t worry if you do not wish to eat as that isn’t a requirement)

Instructors: Robert Allen and Pastor Tim Waugh.

Each meeting is OPEN to the community and centers around the discussion of the Christian’s view of current events.

January’s Meeting is on the 21st at LaRosa’s Buddy Room beginning at 6:00 p.m.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS CLASS – meets once a month with Deacon Janie Karl to evaluate YOUR top three God given talents. Through discussion with fellow students you will be encouraged on how to grow in your personal talent areas.

Men’s FREE Community Breakfast Class– held on the first Saturday of every month in the Fellowship Hall of Christ Church of Jackson. Enter through the door in the main building (alley) and go down three steps to the Fellowship Hall. This is a FREE Breakfast for the entire community of men who want to experience a time of Fellowship and Growth. A short lesson will be provided. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends promptly at 10:00 a.m.

NEEDLE WORKERS CLASS – meets once a month on a Saturday to teach a variety of classes. Everyone is welcome. After class a small devotional and luncheon is provided. This class ends at 12:00 noon

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASSES

TRUTH FINDERS Class – a class of individuals normally held for 6 weeks around a Topic or Book Study. Video introductions are often used to preface a discussion with break-out groups to look more in-depth at the topic.

2025 Classes begin January 22nd at 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall (lower level of the main building).

YOUNG ADULT SMALL GROUP Class – a group who gather to discuss God’s Word. They have in-depth discussions about applying the Word to our daily lives. Topics like distractions, understanding the Holy Spirit, and living by Faith are just a few of our discussions. Come join us on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. as we Grow Together as a Group, as a Church, and as a Community! This group meets in the Parlor at the back of the sanctuary.
