Yes, through the efforts of You our Volunteers and Donors we have successfully packed 101,088 meals for kids in need around the world. Further information will be available within the next week on donations collected towards our goal of $30,000.00 to pay for these meals. Donations are accepted through December of 2023. Mail them to Christ Church of Jackson, 150 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
Each volunteer received a FREE florescent green T-Shirt to show their support for our Community Of Volunteers and to help advertise the FMSC Programs. No Funds that were contributed to the FMSC for meals were used in the purchase of these T-Shirts but they were all donated by a few members of our church. Thank you for those volunteers who gave a donation of $106.00 at the Market Place of artisans. That figure represents feeding a child one meal a day for a year! This event was sponsored through our Jackson County Cares ministry and others who faithfully supported it. Thank You.
A SPECIAL thanks to the youth of Jackson Middle School, Christian Life Academy (CLA) and their teachers who made it possible for them to attend.
Those who attended were able to join our group from throughout the state. Clubs, individuals, businesses, schools, YMCA Ross County, and churches all came together to support this vital program. Jackson County Cares has completed 5 Mobile Packs since 2016 and packed over 650,000 meals to assist in this program. Want to collaborate with us in future Mobile Packs? Christ Church of Jackson has decided to NOT host a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Campaign for 2024 due to difficulty raising the funds necessary for the minimum meals packed.
However, you will still have the OPPORTUNITY to pack meals in Nelsonville on November 15th and 16th 2024. Former Pastor, Dave Roach and his congregations invites our church members to come and join with them in packing 101,080 meals. More information will be coming later. Normally you can register on line 6 weeks before the event date so get together a team who would like to do this worthwhile project in November.
For 2024 Christ Church of Jackson will NOT be doing a campaign for FMSC however, you can still attend a Mobile Packing Session on Nov 15th and 16th at Nelsonville, Ohio. Dave and Linda Roach, our former pastor and his wife and church will be packing 101,088 meals and encourage you to SIGN UP to help by packing meals for a 2 hour shift.
